In Colombo people need to be Educated by PR programs TV, Press, Radio, Social media.
Children in all Schools should be taught about Waste Management at home / school/ public places.
Waste Bins should be installed in every street corner.
After a 3 month education programme, people littering the street should be fined by Environment Police. At present they do sweet nothing..
Retail businesses should be educated about Waste Management.
Where does waste start ?!
Track the movement of rubbish.
The Supply Chain ?
Where does it end ?
What are we going to do about it.?
City population is on the increase.
Every child, man and women is responsible for unnecessary pollution and killing nature ( soil, water, air, streams, rivers, Sea, fish, birds, insects and animals).
Finally humans.
- ARBANs has a serious social responsibility and not to make big money.
The CMC contract with ARBANs must mandate this as a Contract Condition.
- Why is an ARMY if street cleaners sweeping, cleaning, collecting Street rubbish 24 hours X 7 X 365 ???
- Appoint me ( Ella Kolla, Bambalapitiya Chandiya) as the Acting Mayor of CMC for 12 months on contract, and I will fix the this eternal problem of Waste Management in Colombo.
