Sri Lanka Association of NSW-Proudly Hosting Sri Lankan Paralympic Champions


The Sri Lanka Association of NSW is honoured to host
Indika Nuwan and Pradeep Somasiri, two outstanding Paralympic athletes who have brought immense pride to Sri Lanka by securing Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals since 2023. The athletes are currently in Sydney to participate in the Sydney Open Championships 2026, an important international event contributing to their ranking pathway towards the 2028 World
Championships.
We are delighted to share that Indika Nuwan secured a Gold Medal in the Long Jump event on
the evening of April 9, 2026, bringing great pride to the Sri Lankan community. They have been in Sydney since 8th April and will remain until 12th April 2026, following their final event on Saturday, 11th April.
With the generous support of our well-wishers, the Sri Lanka Association of NSW is proud to host their stay during this period. Meet & Greet Opportunity
