ANULA Costa on behalf of the Sri Lanka Para Athletics Team, would like to extend her utmost gratitude to the Sri Lankan community in Brisbane you all and your hard work. Thank you for your hard work this past week. Your dedication helped these athletes to reach the best performances while they are in Australian soil at Brisbane city.
Anula says… “We are all very proud and deeply appreciate every member of this team for showing relentless effort for this project. It was complicated, it was last minute, it was difficult and it was overall everything, you all have faced but collective good hearts got together as a great “Sri Lankan Community “ hosted high for our heroes . I was only on over the phone and lucky enough to meet “ Sunil Maththaya” at the stadium . These were their words “we have been looked after like their children with high concern & care for every single thing”. They have left with great happiness and love in their hearts with deep gratitude and appreciation .

Consul for Sri Lanka in Queensland Australia extended his thanks to Anula Costa who is in Melbourne and involved with Australian Athletics for coordinating the visit of the Para Athletes, The Sri Lankan Community with the President of the Sri Lanka Sports Association in Qld; Sunil Gooneratne and Sri Lankan Community in Brisbane who all at the last minute did a great job in Accommodating these Athletes.
