An Inspirational Message for the Month of June 2024 – Glorifying God in our Weakness – By Charles Schokman Image Source : aqadmatrimonial “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” Ps.90:12 I am getting older. I know that isn’t a surprise to anyone. We all wake each morning another day older than the day before. However, I am now in those maturing years that often bring with them aches, pains and some more serious challenges that begin to impact our lifestyle and our ability to do things that were once easy and enjoyable. I don’t know the number of days God has ordained for me, but this I do know, I have a much greater desire to apply my heart to wisdom now than I did when I was younger! Perhaps that longing grows in proportion to lessons learned and experiences lived throughout ...

An Inspirational Message for the Month of May 2024 – By Charles Schokman Irene Shand-Len shares with us the miracle of what takes place in the womb during pregnancy. Your First Nine Months! In the first nine months of your biography, you hit major milestones. The road to fertilisation that resulted in your life is a bumpy one. We know the science and can only wonder at the miracle of egg and sperm successfully implanting and conceiving. And then the miracles don’t stop. From the 1st day of conception, cells begin to multiply and burrow into the wall of the womb. The sex of the fetus is already determined. After 15 days the heart and eyes are developing. In just 20 days the brain, spinal cord and nervous system are laid and the heart begins to pulse at around 24 days. The heart is one of the earliest differentiated and ...

An Inspirational Message for the Month of February 2024- by Charles Schokman The World’s Rubbish Makes Fertile Ground For The Church To Grow  Ephesians 3:12-13 In [Christ Jesus our Lord] and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. As the Apostle Paul writes this letter from prison in Rome, he is very conscious of the despair and discouragement his dear friends in Ephesus are feeling because of his situation. They would no doubt have been deeply concerned for his personal well-being. But they would also have been ‘reading the times’, and realising from what was happening to their faithful ‘leader/mentor’, that the future was not looking good for them … or for anyone who was responding to the preaching of the Gospel and putting their trust in Jesus as ...

An Inspirational Message for the Month of December 2023 – By Charles Schokman Christmas Image Source : Menyekanaburundi Facebook It was in the night that the Shepard saw the most amazing thing. It was seen first by a few, those who kept watch, but then they awoke the others from their slumber. It made them wonder why the night sky was like this, why a new star, why the heavens shimmered, why the earth glowed, eclipsed the normal constellations. As they gathered around the fires, the heavens were a blaze and burned with brilliance-their wonder turned to fear, for they sensed the magnitude of the night, for the world they knew would never be the same. It seems that we so often meet the divine with fear. Do we fear what we must leave behind, or fear more where we must go? We fear the unfamiliar and find safety in the ...

AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2023. Forgiveness and Unity – By Pastor James Dargin Intention To be carriers of the message of forgiveness and unity. Scripture “Then Peter approached him and asked, ‘Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? As many as seven times?’ ‘I tell you, not as many as seven’, Jesus replied, ‘but seventy times seven’.” – Matthew 18:21–22 “Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them for they do not know what they’re doing.’”– Luke 23:34 “How delightfully good when brothers live together in harmony!”  Psalm 133:1 Reflection My story of coming into forgiveness comes out of a background of the trauma, pain and loss that I’ve experienced for close to 50 years. When I was very young, I was put into a Catholic institution where I was sexually, physically and mentally abused. This occurred until my father found out ...

AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2023. – By Charles Schokman Our Father who art in heaven. A Father’s Day Message to you. Many of us approach Father’s Day with mixed emotions. Some people have hands-on fathers who are available and interested in their lives; others have somewhat distant, disinterested fathers; while others still were abandoned by their fathers altogether. And some have fathers who have died. But one thing we all have in common, no matter what kind of dad we have or have had, is that we have a Father in heaven. And regardless of how your father on earth has treated you, you have a Father in heaven who has always been there and always will be there for you. The Bible says that God is a “father of the fatherless” (Psalm 68:5 NKJV). And David wrote, “When my father and my mother forsake me, ...

AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR OCTOBER 2018 – The Perfect Mistake My mother’s father worked as a carpenter. On this particular day, he was building some crates for the clothes his church was sending to orphanages in China. On his way home, he reached into his shirt pocket to find his glasses, but they were gone. When he mentally replayed his earlier actions, he realized what had happened; the glasses had slipped out of his pocket unnoticed and fallen in one of the crates, which he had nailed shut. His brand new glasses were heading for China! The Great Depression was at its height and Grandpa had six children. He had spent $50 for those glasses that very morning. He was upset by the thought of having to buy another pair. “It’s not fair,” he told God as he drove home in frustration. “I’ve been very faithful in giving of my ...

AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR AUGUST 2018 – LIFE IS AN INCREDIBLE SHOW   You can have flaws, be anxious, and even be angry, but do not forget that your life is the greatest enterprise in the world. Only you can stop it from going bust. Many appreciate you, admire you and love you. Remember that to be happy is not to have a sky without a storm, a road without accidents, work without fatigue, relationships without disappointments. To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in battles, security in the stage of fear, love in discord. It is not only to enjoy the smile, but also to reflect on the sadness. It is not only to celebrate the successes, but to learn lessons from the failures. It is not only to feel happy with the applause, but to be happy in anonymity. Being happy is not a fatality ...

INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR AUGUST 2016 Darrell Scott Testimony On Thursday, May 27, 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s sub-committee. What he said to the national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:– “Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain ...
