How to Make Delicious Mango Ice Cream at Home Without an Ice Cream Machine – By Nadeeka – eLanka

Mango Ice Cream

As the temperatures rise and the sun shines brighter, there’s nothing quite like indulging in a scoop of refreshing mango ice cream. Fortunately, you don’t need fancy equipment or hours of preparation to enjoy this delightful treat. In this article, we’ll walk you through a simple and delicious recipe for homemade mango ice cream that requires no ice cream machine. Get ready to savor the taste of summer with every spoonful!

There’s something truly special about the sweet and tropical flavor of ripe mangoes, especially when they’re transformed into creamy, indulgent ice cream. And the best part? You can make this delightful dessert right in the comfort of your own kitchen, with just a few simple ingredients and no need for an ice cream machine.

To begin, gather the following ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream, chilled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Now, let’s get started with the easy steps:

  1. Prepare the Mango Puree:
    • Place the diced mangoes in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If desired, you can strain the puree to remove any fibrous bits, but this step is optional.
  2. Whip the Cream:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This can be done with a hand mixer or stand mixer, but you can also achieve this by hand with a whisk if you’re feeling ambitious!
  3. Combine the Ingredients:
    • Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream until fully incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream—it should remain light and fluffy.
    • Add the mango puree to the whipped cream mixture, along with a pinch of salt and vanilla extract if using. Continue folding until the mango puree is evenly distributed throughout the mixture, creating a smooth and creamy texture.
  4. Freeze the Ice Cream:
    • Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container, smoothing the top with a spatula or back of a spoon.
    • Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid to prevent ice crystals from forming.
    • Place the container in the freezer and allow the ice cream to freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight, until firm.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Once the mango ice cream is fully frozen, scoop it into bowls or cones and serve immediately.
    • Garnish with fresh mango slices, mint leaves, or a sprinkle of toasted coconut for an extra touch of tropical flavor.

With just a few simple steps and minimal ingredients, you can create a delicious batch of homemade mango ice cream that’s sure to impress your family and friends. Whether enjoyed on a hot summer day or as a sweet ending to any meal, this creamy and refreshing treat is guaranteed to be a hit!
