Obituary Notice – Rohan Abeysundera

Please be informed of the passing away of Rohan Abeysundera in Canberra.  

Obituary Notice - Rohan Abeysundera

Rohan was a proud product St Peters College, Colombo. Rohan was a former rugby captain in 1964. Later, he excelled as a cricketer and athlete to become an outstanding sportsman. Rohan continued his sporting journey beyond school, as he represented Sri Lanka Rugby, Upcountry and Dickoya (DMCC).

Although he settled down in Kandy, Rohan made it a point to visit college regularly to witness rugby & cricket matches. He was a member of the pre 70’s group, and fondly called “Gentle Giant”.

We as fellow Peterites, pass our deepest sympathies to the family members of Rohan.

Please be informed of the funeral arrangements of Rohan Abeysundera.

The Funeral Mass will be offered at; St. James the Apostle Church, 336 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing on 29th November 2022 at 10.30am.

At the conclusion of mass the burial service will take place at Altona Memorial Park, Dohertys Road, Altona North.

A viewing and rosary will be offered at Tobin Brothers Wyndham Chapel; 2 Tower Road, Werribee on 27th & 28th November between 2pm – 4pm.

A tribute page for Rohan Abeysundera is organised on Tobin Brothers Funerals website. This is where the Webcast/Live Streaming and funeral arrangements can be viewed. You could also light a virtual candle and leave a tribute or a message.
