Strawberry & Mango Smoothie – By Malsha – eLanka

Strawberry & Mango Smoothie is a delightful and refreshing blended beverage made with fresh strawberries and ripe mangoes. It’s a popular choice for a quick and nutritious breakfast, a post-workout drink, or a tasty snack on a hot day. Here’s a simple recipe to make a delicious Strawberry Mango Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
  • 1 cup ripe mango (peeled, pitted, and chopped)
  • 1 ripe banana (peeled and sliced) – This adds creaminess to the smoothie.
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt works well too)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to your taste preferences)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a colder and thicker smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and prepare the strawberries by removing the green stems and cutting them into smaller pieces. Peel the ripe mango and slice it, discarding the pit.
  2. Place the chopped strawberries, mango, banana, yogurt, and milk in a blender.
  3. Optionally, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
  4. If you want a colder and thicker smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes at this stage.
  5. Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth and creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more milk and blend again.
  6. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or thickness if needed by adding more honey, milk, or ice cubes.
  7. Once you’re satisfied with the taste and texture, pour the Strawberry Mango Smoothie into glasses.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and nutritious smoothie!

Feel free to get creative with the recipe by adding other fruits like pineapple, kiwi, or peaches, or even incorporating spinach or kale for extra nutrients. The beauty of smoothies is that you can customize them to your liking and experiment with different combinations of fruits and flavors. Enjoy!
