Sri Lanka’s revival – By Dr harold Gunatillake I have just come to visit and live in Sri Lanka, as it is still one of the best countries to live in. There are no petrol queues, and the roads are chock a block with vehicles, drivers creeping through any space on the road without vehicular collisions. In the face of the economic crisis in a country with high inflation, life goes well in the cities, with the usual hustle and buzz. We spent one evening and a night at the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo. I sat in the lobby and watched the number of guests entering and strolling around, some chatting in groups, others walking with families, enjoying a relaxed ambience.
