THE OLD ROMAN SOLDIER – by Des Kelly Erroneously claimed to be “Good-Friday”, when it should actually be the opposite, taking into consideration that this was the “Black-Friday” that a man called Jesus Christ was brutally treated, crowned with thorns, and dragged a heavy wooden cross to a hill on Calvary, only to have his hands and feet nailed to this cross and, if this wasn’t enough, have a spear driven into his side by a Roman Soldier, only to plead to his Father GOD in Heaven, saying “Father, forgive them, for they know not, what they do”. He then died there, on what I would have called “Bad-Friday”, to be carried and entombed by his Mother Mary, to miraculously rise again, on the following “Good-Sunday”, commonly known as “Easter-Sunday”.
