AI Cloud: The next use of AI By Aditya Abeysinghe Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms are often memory and computation intensive due to the number of processing cycles involved. Even a model with a few source code lines will often cause several minutes to produce the output. With growing use of AI-based applications, a solution to this issue is necessary to produce the services fast with minimal lags. Therefore, use of cloud for AI processing is a new method followed by many who use AI-based functions. Benefits of using the cloud Different types of clouds exist. I described most of these clouds in my article on *‘Data Management Strategies in Multiple Clouds’. These clouds have different benefits and are used for different tasks. With the use of cloud servers, scalability is possible within minimal time when memory, computation and other constraints reach limits. KOREAN NEWS ABOUT INDIA – By Des Kelly           Yet another extremely interesting video comes to e’Lanka from Charles Schokman, this one narrated superbly by this Korean Broadcaster, on INDIA. As I always say, “we live and learn” and never has it been so apt, as it is, right now. Firstly, she mentions her name briefly, just as the video closes, but, in my opinion, this young Korean woman would be very difficult to replace as a Broadcaster in any Radio Station in the World. Clear and precise, not an “umm” or an “ah” ejaculate to spoil the narration, this young lady tells us all about “Mother India”, fascinating facts that most of us would not have otherwise known.            Now that we DO KNOW so much about India, the “Power to be”, I do look forward to yet another video, this ...

‘US-Sri Lanka: 70 years of a fruitful partnership’ Source:-dailynews Part 2 Q: Touching on the Hambantota Port and some of these other investments and projects that have been occurring, regarding the aspects of China’s relationship with Sri Lanka, do they raise concerns within U.S. government circles about Sri Lanka’s sovereignty? A: Yes. Frankly, they do. And the American approach, the U.S. approach, is one where we would like to see countries able to fully exert their sovereignty over their territory, over their exclusive economic zones particularly in the maritime space. This is essential. And projects that maybe don’t obviously infringe on a country’s sovereignty can do so in maybe kind of back doorways. I come back to the potential for leverage. If a country, it may not even be majorly indebted to another bilateral partner but the agreements that they signed have onerous requirements in them or would lead them ...
