DESMOND KELLY

CASTRATION WITHOUT HESITATION” by Desmond Kelly “the Star of eLanka” A little 2 year old baby girl SO severely abused physically and sexually that even SENIOR POLICE were aghast with horror(and these are people who see everything in the line of duty), is now in hospital, fighting for her little life. When things like this happen, the SCUMBAGS who are responsible, face Court, and are found GUILTY, should either be sentenced to LIFE without parole, face CASTRATION WITHOUT HESITATION, NOT jailed with ANY consideration for their own safety, simply because the toughest, hardest criminals ABHOR especially CHILD MOLESTORS, and then, let us see how TOUGH these bastards really are, when confronted by someone who is about to bash their “molesting” head in, OR, first, castrated, in prison and if HE/SHE is not an Australian Citizen, “PACKED-OFF” to their own Country Courts, to be “re-tried”” for their sickening crimes & then, hopefully ...

550 STEPS TO PARADISE, ADAMS PEAK, SRI LANKA Too many “tourists” who visit our “Paradise Isle” in “My Lovely Island Home” are actually unaware that there are, indeed, 550 steps to the apex of Paradise. For these lucky people who either intend to, or even visit and then revisit Sri Lanka, do try to climb these historical “steps” (all 550 of them) when you go there next. Sadly, it’s only “wishful thinking” on my part. Desmond Kelly “Star of eLanka At the start of the trail to Adam’s Peak Every year, approximately 20,000 pilgrims, ranging widely in age, fitness level, and religious beliefs, climb Adam’s Peak in search for moral and spiritual significance. Adam’s Peak bares significant spiritual and religious meaning, not only to the Thevada Buddhists, that account for 70% of the Sri Lanka’s population, but also Hindus, Muslims, and Christians. It is this summit that is said by ...

“FOUR-SCORE & FORWARD” Chapter 2 By Desmond Kelly “the Star of elanka” Lucky enough to be born in a 26.000 square-mile Island that HAS to be the most beautiful for it’s tiny size, in the World, an Island which, at the time was “ruled” by the British who had taken it over from the Dutch, I was luckier still, I suppose, to be born of two parents who were, without a doubt, SECOND to NONE. in CEYLON. Starting with the COUNTRY,(MY LOVELY ISLAND HOME), as I call her, HAD EVERYTHING really required of a tiny “tear-drop” shaped piece of land,. Sitting in the mighty Indian Ocean, just South of the huge Continent known as “Mother-India,” Ceylon was also known as the “Pearl of the East”,”Serendib & half a dozen other aliases, but most importatly, this Land was supposed to have been an identical “copy” of the Garden of Eden, (minus ...

“THE NED KELLY BLUES” by Desmond Kelly “the Star of eLanka” Ned Kelly was the “outlaw” equivalent of the Sri Lankan “Saradiel”. Whether or not anyone in Lanka has written a song about their “outlaw-hero” who, just like the mythical Robin Hood of England, was supposed to have robbed the rich to give to the poor, is not known, but the “true-story” of Ned Kelly, Australian outlaw is a sometimes sad, but interesting one, nonetheless. My readers of eLanka might have the chance of reading my story on this larger than life character next year(2017), in the meantime, this is the song I wrote about who might well have been a distant relative of mine. Here are the lyrics of my original composition. The “music” is available for “recording”, if need be. “THE NED KELLY BLUES”. Come, listen to my story ’bout a man called Ned Whose other name was ...

“FOUR-SCORE & FORWARD” by Desmond Kelly “The Star of eLanka” “HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE EIGHTY, FORMERLY KNOWN AS “FOUR-SCORE” ? MY DAUGHTER HAS WRITTEN A “BOOKLET” BUT I’LL ADD JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE IT WAS “GREAT” TO BE BORN IN SRI LANKA, A LITTLE “CANCERIAN MAN” IN THE SUBURB, NOW CALLED MARADANA WHICH WAS FORMERLY NAMED “MARANDAN”. The “booklet” mentioned above was written by my one & only daughter, Michelle, specifically as a “bonus” for “THE ULTIMATE DVD” produced in England by my good friend Jude Goonewardane, which is also proudly, the ORIGINAL “YOU-TUBE STYLE” DVD IN THE WORLD. As a result,(Although I still have a fortnight to go), “FOUR-SCORE & FORWARD” is being written, as what I would term “a brief autobiography” on the special request of MICHAEL,DOUGLAS,MICHELLE & WARREN, four of the “best kids” that any father, anywhere, could hope to have. I am NOT ...

“ROAD-SAFETY” by Desmond Kelly ‘The Star of eLanka’ In comparison to many Countries around this World of ours, Australia has some of the BEST roads, available for drivers of motor vehicles, anywhere. It is true that “unmade” Country roads may pose the odd question, but most major roads are a pleasure to drive on, maintained “mainly” as they should be, and, provided the nuts in your tyre-assemblies are not the “nuts” behind your steering wheels, we should not be faced with the problems that we do, in this day & age. Why is the road-toll in Australia SHOCKING! ?. Why are more people dying as a result of road trauma than even those who go to war?. Why are the hospitals always overcrowded with victims severely injured on our roads? . Why, why, why,?. We ask these questions a million times and still cannot find a satisfactory answer. I have ...

“THE MINISTER’S CALL” by Desmond Kelly the “Star of eLanka” This is presently very much in the “news” on television at the moment, but for those of you who are not aware of it, “I say what I mean,& mean what I say”. This tragic drama occured in Geraldton, a little mid-west town of Perth,Western Australia, in 2014, and what should have been a “true-life” love story, ended as a “true-death” sentence for this young male doctor (Athukorale), who was bludgeoned to death, (as he slept), by his Sri Lankan wife, (Liyanage), also a doctor. and quite a popular one, in Geraldton too, I believe. Two young people with everything to live for, “obviously” in love, but covertly in a marriage that was fraught with abuse both physically & psychologically, , suffered by Chamari Liyanage,at the hands of Dinendra Athukorale, her husband,(it has to be noted by non Sri Lankans ...

“ABDUL”  QUEEN VICTORIA’S LAST LOVER  ! – By Des Kelly   Royal loyal … Abdul and Queen Victoria in the 1880s By EMILY FAIRBAIRN Published: 23rd April 2012 But just over a century ago the same celebration for her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, was nearly derailed by her scandalous relationship with an Indian manservant. In fact Her Majesty became so infatuated with tall, handsome Muslim Abdul Karim that senior royal advisers plotted to have her declared insane just days before her Jubilee unless she halted a controversial plan to knight him. The young waiter — he was just 24 — had begun serving the Queen’s table in June 1887 after being sent to London as a “gift” from the Indian outpost of her empire. He soon began bewitching her with romantic tales of mysterious India, and cooking up delicious curries for her in the royal kitchens. But royal biographer Jane Ridley ...

“GOOGLE” by Desmond Kelly, the “Star of eLanka” Just a few years ago, I had not even heard the word!! To “go” with the above silly -sounding “google” was the even sillier-sounding word “geek”. We were already well aware of the mammoth “computers” then practically running the lives of most people in first-world Countries like Australia. These computers often filled an entire room of office-space and had a team of computer-operators working on these huge machines day and night in order to keep the world turning. Then, just as suddenly, the computer-phase was on it’s way “out” as the “Internet” made it’s way “in”. Suddenly, the major telephone Companies were busy laying millions of metres of special underground cables to bring this thing called “Internet” into most homes all around Australia, concentrating, as they do, on the larger Cities first. Everything then, began to get “smaller”. Mobile telephones were roughly the size ...
