Homemade Cheesy Prawns Pizza Recipe – By Malsha – eLanka

Cheesy Prawns Pizza - eLanka

Dough Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 50g of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of fresh milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Topping Ingredients:

  • 300g of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of pizza sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
  • Green, yellow, and red bell peppers
  • 500g of prawns


1. Activate the Yeast:

  • Heat milk until warm, not hot.
  • Add yeast and sugar, mix well, and cover. Let it sit for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.

2. Prepare the Dough:

  • In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and butter until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add the egg and yeast mixture, knead until a soft ball forms.

3. Dough Rising:

  • Brush a bowl lightly with olive oil.
  • Place the dough in the oiled bowl, cover with a damp kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.

4. Prepare the Toppings:

  • Clean and season prawns with salt, then boil them.
  • Chop bell peppers into small cubes.
  • In a small bowl, mix pizza sauce and tomato ketchup, and set it aside.

5. Assemble the Pizza:

  • Check if the dough has risen.
  • Sprinkle some flour on a wooden tray and place the dough.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and transfer it to a pizza tray.
  • Use a fork to poke a few holes in the dough.
  • Spread the sauce mixture evenly with a brush.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Add the bell peppers and prawns on top of the cheese.
  • Top with more mozzarella and a final drizzle of sauce.

6. Baking:

  • Bake the pizza at 180°C for 20-30 minutes. The duration may vary depending on your oven.
