Sri Lanka creates history by winning two Asian titles Source : dailynews Sri Lanka created history yesterday as they won both Asian Netball title in Singapore and Asia Cup Cricket title in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Netball team led by Gayanjali Amarawansa recorded 63-53 win over Singapore while Dasun Shanaka and the team defeated Pakistan by 23 runs to win the Asia Cup in grand style. Shanaka happy with bowlers for today’s final – By Dhammika Ratnaweera Source : sundayobserver Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka said that his team has got the bowlers to deliver in today’s Asia Cup cricket final against Pakistan in Dubai. “Our bowling combination starting with left arm fast bowling, the off-spinner, leg spinner and variations can challenge any kind of batting line-up and that is a good advantage for us. Shanaka blinder denies Australia a clean sweep Source:Dailymirror Sri Lanka pulled off one of the great T20I run chases, to beat Australia by 4 wickets today, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy. Dasun Shanaka led from the front with a scintillating half-century. Chasing 177 for a consolation win after being outplayed in the first two matches, Sri Lanka were in the doldrums at 108-6 in the 16th over of their innings in Kandy.
