Colombo to be beautified with plans provided by Surbana Jurong: President-by Ajith Siriwardeana Source:Dailymirror The vision to transform Colombo into a beautiful city is already in motion, with plans provided by Surbana Jurong while similar plans have been prepared for Trincomalee, aiming to enhance the development in that region as well, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said. 77th Bradby Shield Encounter: Royal win second leg, retain Shield Source:Dailymirror Royal College retained the Bradby Shield after recording a 27-17 over Trinity College in the second leg of the 77th encounter at Reid Avenue.  With the seven-point victory margin Royal were able to overturn the three-point deficit they had after losing the first leg 13-10 in Kandy two weeks ago, winning 37-30 on aggregate.  Royal ran in five tries, of which one was converted, while Trinity scored two converted tries and a penalty. ...

Born on November 6, 1968, in Payagala, Father Andradi comes from a family of eight. His father, Mr. D. M. J. Andradi, was a devout Catholic, and his mother, Mrs. Lucy Suwaris, was known for her kindheartedness. He has six brothers and two sisters. His elder brother, Rev. Fr. Kamal Andradi, is also a priest. SRI LANKA CRICKET NEWS  Complied by Victor Melder  (JULY 2023) Fast bowler Lahiru Kumara, who walked off the field with an injury during Sri Lanka’s Super Six win over the Netherlands on Friday, has been ruled out for the rest of the Cricket World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. Demise of Professor Rohan Jayasundera – Former Old Boy of St Joseph’s College Colombo Source : henrywalser Rohan Jayasundera passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the University Medical Centre in New Orleans, at the age of 69. Beloved husband for 48 years of Jacintha Jayasundera (nee Dhanapala); dedicated father of Ranil Jayasundera (Erin) and Kishanie Jayasundera (Jason); devoted grandfather of Mason, Sloane and Zara; dutiful son of Miriam Jayasundera; and proud brother of Greg Jayasundera (Shyami) and uncle of Manishya Jayasundera.
