So, let’s dive into the world of this mouthwatering caramel sago pudding and learn how to create a sweet masterpiece that will leave everyone craving for more.

Ingredients For Pudding :

  • 1/4 cup of Sago
  • 1/2 cup of Sugar
  • 1 cup of Fresh Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of Vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons of Sugar (for Caramel)
  • 2 cups of Water

Instructions:

  1. Begin by heating 2 cups of water in a pot until it comes to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add 1/4 cup of sago to it. Allow the sago to cook thoroughly in the boiling water.
  2. Once the sago is cooked, drain it and rinse it with normal water. Set it aside.
  3. In a saucepan, place 4 tablespoons of sugar and caramelize it over low heat until it turns into a golden liquid. Pour this caramel into a pudding mold and ensure it covers the bottom evenly.
  4. In another bowl, prepare the pudding mixture. Start by whisking 2 eggs until well beaten.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the beaten eggs and mix until the sugar completely dissolves.
  6. Stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla and mix thoroughly.
  7. Pour in 1 cup of fresh cow’s milk and continue to mix until well combined.
  8. Strain this well-mixed pudding mixture into another bowl.
  9. Add the cooked sago to the pudding mixture and blend it in.
  10. Pour this sago pudding mixture into the mold with the caramelized sugar at the bottom.
  11. Cover the mold tightly with aluminum foil.
  12. Steam the pudding for 45 minutes to an hour.
  13. After around 45 minutes, test the pudding’s doneness by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the pudding is ready.
  14. Allow the pudding to cool and then refrigerate it for about 2 hours.
  15. Once chilled, enjoy your delicious caramel pudding.

This recipe will yield a scrumptious caramel pudding for you to savor.
