CAVALIERS OR COWARDS? Reluctant, though I was, I watched 4 Corners recently, very nearly the entire programme showing the SHAMELESS, SADISTIC,SLAUGHTER of beautiful “wild-life” by COWARDS posing as gallant CAVALIERS. If these “S.S.SODS” even imagined themselves to be another “modernized” Platoon of one Adolph Hitler, I have to inform them that, cruel as they were, the S.S. & even their inglorious leader who treated his German Shepherd Dogs with kindness, would not have used their powerful firearms to shoot, maim & kill lions, tigers, bears, & even elephants, to name just a few, simply for the THRILL of killing these innocent creatures of God, then proudly posing with the sad, mutilated bodies, pretending to be CAVALIERS. ...

FICKLE LOVE-STORIES

“FICKLE LOVE-STORIES” As we go through life, there are many of them. I was of the “age” when “same-sex” marriages were not even heard of. For us, it was simply boy loves girl and vice-versa. Everything was wonderful. Yet, when I started to write my songs, I knew, from personal experience, that these “love-stories” could sometimes be fickle. So, this is why I wrote songs like :- “TEACH ME TO LOVE YOU” (Latin Bolero/Swing Tempo). Teach me to love you, teach me all I need know Show me the meaning of that sweet word “amor” Give me a lesson on what’s wrong and what’s right Teach me to love you, teach me tonight Come on, (“swing”) & teach me to kiss you teach me to squeeze you teach me to hold you close then, someday, teacher we’ll see a preacher might well be tomorrow who knows? QUANDARY? , QUANDA (18/7/16) QUONDO QUONDO! Already, from what I did read read on ELanka, on Tuesday the 19th of July, 2016, our electronic medium is fairly “buzzing” with the “news” about Senator-elect Pauline Hanson, her “One-Nation” Political Party & her strong views on what should be “good” for Australia in the FUTURE. Pauline Hanson is certainly no “rookie” in the game of Politics. She has been “around” for a couple of decades at least, always has had the visible courage of her convictions and does not hesitate to “air” them whenever & wherever possible. Because of these “convictions” , no matter what we think, CREDIT is due to both Pauline & her “Political-Partner” Derryn Hinch for speaking their minds out, no matter what!!, and I certainly admire them both for this. Social bloody Media tripled, is what is going to make a huge friggin difference to our lives ...

BACK, WHERE I STARTED, AGAIN

Most of the songs I have “written & composed” have been “love-songs”. This stems from the era in which they were written, the 50’s & 60’s. They were the years when “Love was in the air”. They were the songs that were written when, instead of violence, romance was paramount, in every sense of the word. Of course, love-stories did not always end with the “happily ever after” theme. Sometimes, as in my case, I ended up :- “BACK, WHERE I STARTED, AGAIN”. Desmond Kelly the Songwriter When I was born in “My lovely Island Home”, as I always refer to her (all beautiful things are referred to, in the feminine gender), Lanka was known as Ceylon.
