SUNDAY CHOICE – God forgive Me for my many sins beautifully sung by our own Gary Ellis Let’s face it: Forgiving others (and yourself) is sometimes easier said than done. However, it doesn’t have to be. So the next time you find yourself feeling hurt by someone’s actions or overwhelmed with frustration over a situation that occurred, turn to the Bible  for advice. That way, you won’t start to feel all the negative side effects from the stress of those situations on your mind, body and soul. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.– 1 John 1:9. Pray this song of confession will be a blessing to you. God forgive Me for my many sins Ease my troubled mind place of peace within Guide my feet so I can walk with thee And if I hurt someone ...

SUNDAY CHOICE – What does it mean, “Whatever it takes” “Making the Word of God a routine part of your life will transform your heart, renew your mind, refresh your soul, and give you divine direction for your life. We encourage you to make it a part of your daily life. We know that when you do, you will begin to see the evidence of God’s presence, voice and activity in your life increase like never before! Commitment to Christ means taking up your cross daily, giving up your hopes, dreams, possessions, even your very life if need be for the cause of Christ. Only if you willingly take up your cross may you be called His disciple (Luke 14:27). The reward is worth the price. Jesus followed His call of death to self (“Take up your cross and follow Me”) with the gift of life in Christ: “For whoever wants to ...

HE WILL CARRY YOU – SUNDAY CHOICE – The Storms of Life “You may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith . .  may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:6-7 In the book of Mark we read about a terrible storm. The disciples were with Jesus on a boat crossing the Sea of Galilee. When a “furious squall came up,” the disciples—among them some seasoned fishermen—were afraid for their lives (4:37-38). Did God not care? Weren’t they handpicked by Jesus and closest to Him? Weren’t they obeying Jesus who told them to “go over to the other side”? (v. 35). Why, then, were they going through such a turbulent time? No one is exempt from the storms of life. But just as the disciples who initially feared the storm later came to ...

HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE The Mystery of Creation and Redemption – By Lakshman Navaratne Apostolic Grace Romans 16:25-27,” Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! SUNDAY CHOICE – I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. God is a covenant-keeping God. He is faithful to His promises. We as imperfect earthly parents, but as far as possible, we honour our promises to our children. How much more does our heavenly Father who is perfect and loves us perfectly! For every problem, burden, need, and circumstance, God has made you promises of His faithfulness:– “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God,” 2 Corinthians 1:20.  “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these ...

SUNDAY CHOICE – We are the body of Christ “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others”. Romans 12:5 Together, friends Melanie and Trevor have hiked miles of mountain trails. Yet neither would be able to do so without the other. Melanie, born with spina bifida, uses a wheelchair. Trevor lost his sight to glaucoma. The duo realized they were one another’s perfect complement for enjoying the Colorado wilderness: As he walks the trails, Trevor carries Melanie on his back; meanwhile, she gives him verbal directions. They describe themselves as a “dream team.” Paul describes believers in Jesus—the body of Christ—as a similar kind of “dream team.” He urged the Romans to recognize how their individual giftings benefited the larger group. Just as our physical bodies are made up of many parts, each with different functions, together we “form one [spiritual] ...

SUNDAY CHOICE What does it mean- the longer I serve him the sweeter He grows? “When people say that Jesus lives in their hearts, it doesn’t mean the heart that pumps blood through your body.  The “heart” of a person is the center of who he or she is. Sometimes when people say “heart,” they mean the deepest part of a person. For example, you might have heard someone say they have a broken heart. That doesn’t mean his actual beating heart is broken; it means the person is very sad deep down. Some people say Jesus is in their heart to mean that Jesus is living spiritually in the center, or deepest part, of their life.  Every one of us is a sinner, and we need to be saved from our sin before we can have a relationship with God. Jesus, God’s Son, came to earth to be our ...

SUNDAY CHOICE – Man of Sorrows “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.” Isaiah 53:3 “He bore rejections and ridicule on our account. He received scoffing and shame in our place. Through His shed life-blood our pardon for sin was secured and sealed.. and life-everlasting was the gracious gift that we received – and all we had to do was to believe on His name. Hallelujah – what a Saviour. He carried our griefs. He bore our sorrow and on our account He had the full fury of God’s wrath against sin poured out upon HIM as He hung on that cross, 2000 years ago. He was smitten of God and grossly afflicted. He was pierced through for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him and ...
